In this course, students will be provided with an overview of the ethical requirements for behavior analysts via an immersive review of the Ethics Code for Behavior Analysts published by the Behavior Analysis Certification Board® (BACB®). Key learning objectives include, but are not limited to, the protection of consumers and professionals in the context of ethics, ethical principles, and professionalism. Multiple practical application activities are embedded in the course to ensure transfer of knowledge to real world practice contexts. Skills to be targeted include the development of ethical decision making skills, compassionate care interpersonal skills, and culturally responsive intervention skills. This course aligns with the BACB’s 6th edition test content outline (TCO) and focuses primarily within the ethical and professional issues section. Other key elements from the TCO will be included throughout the course as well.
