Business Administration - Experienced Professional (Master of Business Administration)


Program Options
The School of Business offers the MBA degree in two different options:

  • MBA 
  • 5th Year Intensive MBA

Master of Business Administration

The MBA program is designed for individuals who wish to advance their careers or for those students who want to begin a career in business. The program employs a collaborative, applied concepts approach to learning regardless of the program delivery. The MBA curriculum is a business and technology infused curriculum giving students the competitive advantage of gaining high in-demand skills and techniques sought after by employers. Each course has a strong ethics component, real-time skills, and projects relevant to students’ professions.

Faculty who have extensive experience in business and management infuse the classroom with a dynamic, hands-on approach to real-world problem solving. The global environment, the technological environment, and the ethical dimensions of managerial decisions pervade the MBA program.

The Endicott College MBAi s designed for working professionals who are seeking to further their professional and personal growth, and energize their careers. The program is for those who have a minimum of two years of relevant work experience. It employs an accelerated model. Students have the option of taking courses online, in the classroom, or in a combination of both delivery formats.

Curriculum Requirements - Total Credits Required: 36


Core Courses - 18 Credits


** Students who elect for concentrations in Construction Project Management or Real Estate will take REST550 Construction Project Management instead of ITS575 Agile Project Management.

MBA Concentration Requirements


To complete a concentration in the following areas, students must complete four three-credit courses (for a total of 12 credits) in the area of concentration.

Students may have two concentrations. In order to complete a second concentration, courses used to fulfill the requirements of the first concentration may not be used to meet the requirements of the second concentration. Substitution courses may not be used to satisfy concentration requirements. Students completing the requirements of two concentrations must complete eight three-credit courses (for a total of 24 credits) before the masters degree is awarded.

Learning Outcomes


At the end of the program, the student will be able to:

  • Articulate leadership theory for professional application in the professional world
  • Apply market research, company evaluations, analysis of situations, and recommendations for solutions to business case analysis projects and/or papers.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and skills to articulate current management trends, including cross-cultural and global awareness
  • Demonstrate knowledge of accounting processes, financial statements and financial analysis to determine critical management decisions quantitatively
  • Demonstrate knowledge of key aspects of the MBA program, finance, accounting, management and leadership knowledge, research, writing and presentation skills
 


Events Management (Mini Masters)

Learning Outcomes


Upon completion of the program, students will:

  • A comprehensive understanding of the events industry, including different types of events, market trends, and current issues.
  • Effective project management skills that are critical in the events industry and will provide graduates with skills in budgeting, scheduling, team management, and risk management.
  • Students will develop skills in marketing and communication, learning how to develop event concepts, identify target audiences, and create effective promotional materials.
  • Students will develop critical thinking, creative problem-solving, and contingency planning skills to deal with unexpected challenges often encountered by the events management industry.
 


Construction Project Management (Mini Master)

  • Gain extensive knowledge of real estate markets and their micro‐ and macro‐economic dynamics.
  • Determine market and trends in the real estate industry.
  • Develop up to date valuation techniques including comparison, cost and income approaches.
  • Determine the financial feasibility of real estate projects within the relevant legal and environmental constraints and taking into account the modeling of uncertainty.

Healthcare Management (Master of Science)


The Master of Science in Healthcare Management (MSHCM) degree program is designed for individuals who wish to work or are currently working in responsible management positions in a variety of medical and healthcare institutions. The 36-credit program presents a practitioner-focused curriculum that includes critical knowledge, competencies, techniques and skills necessary to lead and work effectively within the healthcare industry. Students will acquire current skills in key healthcare management areas including; leadership, data analytics, finance, technology, operation and quality improvement, and strategy that are critical variables in establishing, managing and leading a successful healthcare organization. Students will develop and demonstrate critical competencies, data-driven decision- making, and process improvement that will enable them to contribute to the growth, quality, and evolution of the rapidly growing healthcare industry.

Concentration Requirements - 12 Credits

  • Analyze and think critically about current and emerging issues in the healthcare system and the policy environment in which the system operates
  • Analyze current events and trends in healthcare management using relevant data and historical trends
  • Demonstrate various knowledge and attributes of leadership and management in healthcare organizations
  • Demonstrate sound business principles and practices in the delivery of quality healthcare in leadership, finance, technology, operation and quality improvement, and strategy
  • Analyze and understand the ethical implications of decision making
 

Information Technology (Master of Science)


The Master of Science in Information Technology program is designed for IT professionals looking to become leaders in the field. Emphasis is placed on current and emerging tech trends and systems, and developing communication skills for successful collaboration with business managers, technology managers, software developers, and consultants. The program is a 36-credit program for working professionals. Students select from two concentration tracks to specialize in: technical track which focuses on software engineering and programming or an option to do a concentration in the growing field of health and medical informatics. The current program offers personalized advising, flexibility and 8 starts per academic year. There is no GRE/GMAT required for the program.

  • Identify, evaluate, and select appropriate hardware and software solutions. Use current technologies, tools, software systems, modern computing platforms, and apply best practices to develop real-world solutions for specific problems (e.g., applications, deployments, etc.)
