School of Sport Science Within the School of Sport Science, students select innovative majors in esports management, sport management, exercise science, exercise science allied health, and exercise science/pre-professional athletic training. Graduate program offerings include a master of science in Sport Leadership and a master of science in Athletic Training. Over the last 30 years, the sport science field has evolved into a professional enterprise, and as a result of the tremendous growth, the knowledge base in the sport science disciplines has increased in both depth and breadth. These developments and adaptations within the sports domain are reflected in the interdisciplinary program specializations at Endicott.
With today’s dynamic and changing sports industry, our mission is to prepare students to learn theoretical concepts in the traditional classroom setting and to acquire practical knowledge through the internship/clinical component. Under the direction of the Sport Science faculty and staff, students select internship, practicum, and clinical experiences that match their interests, needs, and capabilities.
In addition to experiential learning, a special feature of the curriculum is the thesis component. Students conduct an intensive investigation into an area within their program of study. This serves to further enhance the collaboration between theory and practice.
