NU 317/317L - Medical-Surgical Nursing II

This course focuses on the acute care needs of individuals/families in the medical or surgical care setting. Utilizing the nursing process as an organizing framework, students will engage in the delivery and evaluation of increasingly complex nursing care aimed at restoration and maintenance of the client’s optimal state of health. Lab and simulation assignments will support supervised clinical experiences in the acute care setting and build on knowledge acquired in the classroom.
