Elderly abuse and neglect is a social problem of increasing concern to policymakers, practitioners, and researchers in the United States and around the world. This course is a comprehensive overview of the current and growing issue of elderly abuse and neglect. This course will examine theories of elder victimization, current policy issues, the variety of victimizations that occur to the elderly, new practice intervention models, and up-to-date research on elderly crime and victimization.
