ED 329 - Literacy Methods

Students investigate listening, speaking, writing and reading as elements of a Structured Literacy program in the Early Childhood and Elementary classroom. Students explore various evidence-based, culturally responsive methods and strategies to develop students’ literacy skills. Students practice planning for the development of foundational skills, engaging with complex texts, writing, and oral language, using the Common Core Learning Standards, lesson planning and a variety of literature including fiction and nonfiction texts.
