CMM 363 - Women in Media

This class provides an overview of women’s portrayal and participation in media in the United States beginning in the late 19th century and ending in the present. Focusing primarily in the areas of magazines, narrative film, scripted television, advertising, news, and sports, students will critique and celebrate women’s places in media texts via the exploration of primary texts. Satisfies the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion General Education requirement.
