Academic Technology
Academic Technology’s mission is to be responsive to the needs of the Endicott community by providing instruction and support in the use of current technologies and leadership in the evaluation and adoption of new and innovative ones. On a daily basis Academic Technology (AT) supports technology used for teaching and learning , including: Canvas - the campus Learning Management System, YuJa - a cloud based media storage and distribution system, Virtual and Augmented Reality, plus iPad training and support. Campus computer labs function both as classrooms and as areas in which students can pursue independent projects. All labs provide internet access and are available to students between scheduled classes both day and evening. There are also public computers available for student use in the Halle Library and various other locations across campus. AT also provides workshops and training to faculty, staff and students in the use of various software programs, web tools, digital media and audio/video production technologies.
Canvas and YuJa
Canvas is the Learning Management System (LMS) and YuJa is our cloud-based media storage and distribution server, allowing faculty to embed videos, distribute podcasts and other media files to their students in an efficient and secure manner. These online web tools allow faculty, students, and staff to collaborate and communicate in a variety of ways for courses and other approved campus departments and groups. Handouts, documents, and files of just about any type can be posted to these sites by faculty or administrators for access and download by students and others. Additionally, online forums where faculty, staff, and students can post topics and responses for discussion can take place 24/7. Chat rooms, web conferencing, online quizzes, tests, and other coursework and assignments, as well as announcements and online grading are also part of the Canvas LMS.
Workshops for faculty, students, and staff are offered throughout the year on a variety of learning technologies, including classroom and digital media technologies, Canvas, YuJa, iPads/mobile devices and web conferencing/virtual classroom technology. Schedules are posted online each semester.

Endicott Center for Teaching and Learning
The Endicott Center for Teaching & Learning (ECTL) brings together the Division of Academic Success, the Van Loan Division of Professional Studies, Prior Learning Assessment, and new services for faculty to inspire teaching excellence and promote student access, persistence, and success. We offer opportunities for reflection on teaching and learning, professional and peer support, and innovative programs and services. Through our work with faculty and students, we cultivate a vibrant culture of teaching and learning at the College.
Faculty Development Programming
The ECTL offers a variety of programs and services for faculty. We host conferences at the beginning of each academic year during faculty professional development days and prior to the start of the spring semester. We offer monthly workshops; lead orientations for new faculty, adjunct faculty, and new advisors; coordinate faculty learning circles; and consult with faculty individually on issues related to teaching and learning. For information about past and future programs, please see: https://www.endicott.edu/academics/endicott-center-for-teaching-and-learning.
Center for Accessibility Services
The Center for Accessibility Services is committed to providing equal access for qualified students to all aspects of the college experience at Endicott. Accessibility Services provides reasonable accommodations for undergraduate and graduate students with documented disabilities on an individual basis. Students must self-identify and provide appropriate documentation of their disability to be eligible for reasonable accommodations and services as stated by the Americans with Disabilities Amendments Act of 2008 (ADAAA) and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. Our office seeks to provide a supportive and inclusive environment for all students by promoting inclusive practices, Universal Design for Learning, and disability awareness across the campus community. Accessibility Services also provides guidance, support, and training to faculty and staff in their work with students with disabilities to provide assistance and promote best practices. Please contact our office at access@endicott.edu with any questions.
Center for Academic Coaching
The Center for Academic Coaching provides a caring and consistent environment to support academic progress at Endicott. In the Center, students on the undergraduate or graduate level form an engaging and proactive partnership with a professional academic coach connected to the College and its culture to generate goals, execute plans, reflect on progress, adjust, and persist.
While the Tutoring and Writing Center focuses on mastery of content and completion of assignments, academic coaches partner with students to develop academic self-awareness and confidence; refine organization, time management, and information management techniques; understand how to identify, access, and maximize additional resources; create work plans and study schedules; and balance all aspects of the college experience.
Students meet individually and independently with academic coaches at a mutually convenient time for one, two, or three hours per week. There is a fee for this service, though a limited number of scholarships are available. The Center is open Monday through Friday, with evening hours available.
The Office for Student Success & Advising
The Office for Student Success and Advising empowers, educates and supports students throughout their educational experiences at the College. We are committed to ensuring that a student’s advising experience provides them with the knowledge and guidance to make the most out of their college experience. The Office provides students with advising support as they register for courses, or when they are looking into options like taking a leave of absence, withdrawing from the College or getting readmitted.
During the pre-registration advising period, the Office hosts advising workshops and individual advising sessions to help educate students on their degree audit, registration processes and course of study options. The Office works in partnership with all Deans, Associate Deans and faculty advisors to ensure consistent advising for all students.
In addition to traditional advising, the Office oversees all of the procedures related to undergraduate or graduate students taking a leave of absence, withdrawing from the College, changing their academic status, or being readmitted to the College. We advise both students and their families by meeting with them to discuss options and connecting them with campus offices to ensure that they are comfortable making a decision that makes the most sense for them.
If a student is interested in advising support or learning more about their option, please have them email success@endicott.edu.
Tutoring & Writing Center
The Tutoring & Writing Center, certified by the College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA), staffs professional and peer tutors in order to support student learning and writing across the curriculum. Entrenched in the idea of tutoring as social, collaborative learning, tutors engage in dialogue with students in order to help students improve content retention, develop effective study strategies, engage in the writing process, and strengthen confidence levels. Neither content nor writing tutors complete homework assignments or proofread written work on behalf of students. One-off and repeating sessions are available in person and over Google Meet or Zoom.
Diane Meyers Halle Library
The Diane Meyers Halle Library is a major academic support unit of Endicott College for all levels and locations of curricular programming. Situated in the heart of the campus, Halle Library is open 94.5 hours per week during the academic year, with a lower-level workspace open 24/7 for students. Halle Library has ample seating, environmentally-friendly lighting, wireless connectivity and an attractive open floor-plan. Endicott College is a member of the North of Boston Library Exchange (NOBLE), a network of 25 academic and public libraries. A shared online catalog enables access to over two million items across the network. Halle Library is also a participating member of the Massachusetts Libraries Commonwealth Catalog, a virtual resource enabling Endicott patrons to access additional millions of library items across the state.
