MTH 246 - Data Science II

This continuation course builds on the skills developed in MTH 146 (Data Science I) addressing important concepts and techniques for predictive modeling.  Students will learn about common classification and regression models, as well as approaches and metrics for testing modeling success based on data.  Through examples and projects, students will also learn about the dangers of overfitting, bias-variance trade-offs, and parameter tuning.
