ABA 511 - Behaviorism and Philosophical Foundations This course will provide instruction about the theory and philosophy of behavior analysis. Key learning objectives include, but are not limited to: identification of goals of behavior analysis as a science, understanding the underlying philosophical assumptions of behavior analysis, understanding behavior from a radical behaviorism perspective, and description of dimensions of applied behavior analysis. Practical application activities are embedded in the course to ensure transfer of knowledge to real world practice contexts, including providing students with a framework to use both technical terminology as well as colloquial description of the same. This course aligns with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board’s (BACB®) 6th edition test content outline (TCO) and focuses primarily within the behaviorism and philosophical foundations section. Other key elements from the TCO will be included throughout the course as well.
