BUS 224 - Principles of Buying

This course provides students with a practical understanding of merchandise buying, planning, and control in the retail industry.  Retail math concepts will be studied and applied to a final six-month seasonal plan. The focus of this course is on the practical application of the material including sales planning, markups, mark downs, inventory turn, as well as gross margin return on investment (GMROI).
