IDS 115 - Finding Your Path: Interdisciplinary Approaches to Problem Solving

This course introduces the culture and values of higher education, including its organization of knowledge into disciplines, as an institutional context for students’ academic journey. Through interdisciplinary case studies, students compare the approaches that diverse academic fields take to complex problems, as well as the distinctive intellectual and social contribution that each field makes. In so doing, students will articulate their own values and strengths and align them with a major field of study. Satisfies the Values and Ethical Reasoning General Education requirement.
