DRA 108 - Introduction to Stage Combat

This course examines the fundamental techniques of Stage Combat. Actors will learn to fall, roll, punch, slap, kick, employ basic sword methods, and understand the eight different “fight” disciplines recognized by the Society of American Fight Directors. Students will learn to effectively explain fight choreography through written and oral communication as well as become supportive and present scene partners. Course may be repeated each semester for academic credit. Satisfies the Aesthetic Awareness and Creative Expression General Education Requirement.
