ABA 521 - Evidence-Based Curriculum Development Applied behavior analysis provides a science of effective teaching interventions for various learners. Currently, there is a plethora of evidence-based teaching strategies that can be customized for different needs across age ranges and disabilities. It is imperative that behavior analysts understand the different types of teaching available for their learners to ensure their programming is successful. This course will introduce master’s students to evidence-based teaching methods and when to utilize certain teaching procedures. Students will learn how to analyze student’s needs based on their age, disability, and data to design effective teaching programs. Teaching strategies will be reviewed in reference to different needed skill sets, such as direct instruction, pivotal response training, video modeling, and more. By the end of the course, students will have the opportunity to design teaching programs based on the skills that they have learned in this course.
