NU 411/411L - Community/ Population Health Nursing

This course focuses on fostering a culture of health in communities and populations. Social determinants of health, environmental factors and epidemiological factors are explored. Understanding the impact of the community on patients’ health and how nurses can influence change within their own communities to improve health is an integral component of the course. Clinical assignments and experiences foster a deeper understanding of holistic nursing care, the importance of collaboration and the value of advocacy. Satisfies the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion requirement.
