ED 302/302L - Science Methods and Lab

This course supports the pre-service teacher in planning for and teaching science in the classroom. Major concepts, curriculum theory, and instructional strategies appropriate to science education are explored through lesson planning with emphasis on an experiential approach including demonstrations, enrichment, projects, and experiments. Principles of science development, current research, and frameworks in science will also be examined. A 30-hour classroom field experience is part of this course, and students must register for the lab section.
