ED 203 - Inclusionary Practices in Educational Settings

Students will be introduced to the diverse needs of students within the inclusionary general education classroom. Participants will explore methods to differentiate instruction and identify appropriate approaches to best meet individual student needs in cognitive, affective, and social development. Historical, legal, and social aspects of special education in the United States will provide a foundation for analyzing tiered systems of support, evidence-based instruction, and the referral and evaluation process for special education.Satisfies the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion requirement.
Prerequisites & Notes ED 101 or ED 125 or permission of instructor.
