OB 520 - Adult Learning in Applied Settings

This course examines the historical, theoretical, psychological, and sociological foundations of adult learning. Students will examine the developmental influences that impact adult learning as well as the contextual factors that shape how adults learn in educational, workplace and real-world settings. By the end of this course, students will be able to analyze how adults acquire, process, and apply knowledge. Students will also be prepared to apply knowledge of adult learning theory in instruction to help motivate adult learners in organizational settings.
