Graduate Admission Information
Endicott College’s graduate and professional studies schools offer master’s, doctoral, and professional degrees across eight schools and over 100 programs. Admissions are on a rolling basis but we have three priority deadlines for all schools. Submitting your application by the priority deadline helps ensure earlier decisions and class registration. 

Priority Deadlines:
Fall entry - July 15
Spring entry- November 15
Summer entry- April 15 

Decisions regarding admission are made by the admitting departments, however, all offers of admission are subject to verification of college admission requirements such as degree conferral, academic transcripts, official test scores and English proficiency, by Graduate Admissions, Office of the  Registrar.  Graduate program admissions requirements vary by program so please visit the program website for detailed application requirements. 
 


Sport Leadership (Master of Science)


The Master of Science in Sport Leadership is a 39-credit program that prepares the student for a career in the sport industry - whether it’s working within an educational institution, professional sport team, marketing, communications, non-profit organizations, organizations that offer sport wellness and fitness services, city and state recreation departments and even international positions. Our program will provide the education that prepares you for a career in sports leadership.

This program is based on the belief that learning leads to change, and individuals, with the ability to learn and evolve continuously, will be successful as leaders or managers in the dynamic environment of the sport industry. In addition to the focus study of sport leadership, the curriculum will provide students with an in-depth look at the diverse and expanding practice of sport leadership skills in an international context.

The program of study addresses the knowledge and skills in the philosophies of sport as well as all aspects of sport leadership. Besides completing the core courses, the MS program allows students to select their own course electives in accordance with their area(s) of interest. This makes it possible for students to create a degree that is focused toward their specific motivation.

Graduates can seek sport leadership positions in the following areas: secondary sport, college sport, professional sport, recreational sport, sport marketing, sport communication, event and facility management - both home and abroad.

The Sport Leadership Program (formerly known as Athletic Administration) has been awarded Maximum Accreditation (7 years) by the Commission on Sport Management Accreditation (COSMA).

These courses have been aligned to meet the accreditation standards for COSMA.

Admission Requirements

Applicants should submit the following to Graduate Admissions, Endicott College, 376 Hale Street, Beverly, MA 01915

  • Non-refundable $50.00 application fee (check made payable to Endicott College, cash or online) Application fee waived for veteran and military students;
  • Two letters of recommendation (one academic reference and one professional reference);
  • Official transcripts of all post-secondary academic work sent directly from the institution(s) including confirmation of undergraduate degree, date confirmed, and any other graduate work;
  • Essay of 250-500 words on career goals and motivation for graduate study;
  • Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) for all students whose native language is not English; minimum score of 550 (paper-based) or 79 (iBT) is required. The institutional code for Endicott College is 3369. Endicott also accepts an IELTS score of 6.0 or better;
  • Interview with the program director
  • All admissions requirements must be satisfied in order to be formally accepted in a degree program. Students must be formally admitted to a program before the completion of six Endicott credits.

International Applicants for Graduate Admission
Endicott College welcomes and encourages applicants from around the world. International applicants are required to hold a college or university degree equivalent to a four-year American baccalaureate degree. Educational documents in a foreign language are required to be translated into English. All transcripts and translations of transcripts must be official originals and must show courses completed, grades received, grading scale, duration of study, degree or diploma received, and the date conferred. Endicott College reserves the right to request verification of the credentials by an external agency.

International applicants must submit current TOEFL scores when their native language is not English or when their baccalaureate transcript is not from an institution where English is the language of instruction. Once students have been admitted as degree candidates, Endicott College will send detailed instructions about the process for acquiring an Endicott-sponsored student visa.

Learning Outcomes


Upon completion of this program, students will:

  • Investigate the interrelationship between sport, culture, and society through a sport leader’s
  • Interpret and analyze the role and responsibilities of human resources, finance, governance, compliance, risk management, operations, technology, and the management, planning, organization, and administration in the sport industry
  • Distinguish between key aspects of various careers within the sport industry and how an effective leader approaches decision making in these dynamic environments
  • Identify and evaluate career options in the sport industry, formulate transferable skills, construct a job search strategy, resume, LinkedIn profile and cover letter.

Sport Leadership - Fifth Year Program (Master of Science)


The Fifth Year Program in Sport Leadership was developed as an option for Endicott graduates to complete a Master’s Degree in an accelerated format. Students are eligible if they begin the program the semester immediately following their undergraduate graduation. If students begin at another time they are required to complete the 39 credit version.

Admission Requirements


Applicants must apply one semester prior to their undergraduate graduation.

Fifth Year Expedited Admissions Process

Current Endicott students are eligible to apply to Fifth Year graduate programs using an expedited admissions process. In order to be eligible for the expedited admissions process, current students must have a 3.0 or higher GPA*. Students eligible for the Fifth Year expedited admission process are not required to submit an essay, resume, recommendations or transcripts.

Students should apply for a Fifth Year program using the Current Endicott Student Expedited Masters Application form available in MyEndicott. The GPS Office of Admissions will upon receipt of this form obtain a dean recommendation/GPA confirmation and confirm a prospective Fifth Year student has a clear record with the Office of the Bursar and the Office of Student Affairs.

*Otherwise, standard admissions requirements apply.
