OB 505 - Social Psychology Social psychology seeks to understand how a person’s behaviors, thoughts, and emotions are affected by other people. The field is concerned with understanding human social interactions through different lenses (e.g. biological, environmental, etc.) via basic and applied scientific research. This course is an introduction to the scientific study of social psychology. We will explore prevailing theories and empirical methods used in the field, as well as major topics including: concept of self and social cognition; attitudes and behavior; social influence and persuasion; altruism and aggression; relationships and interpersonal attraction.
