MSAT 530 - Clinical Education I

Students will complete a 14 week (225 hour minimum) clinical experience under the direct supervision of an athletic trainer in a private, public, or preparatory pediatric setting. This rotation will focus on the development and integration of student emergency care, clinical assessment, decision making and rehabilitation with an emphasis on the lower extremity, documentation, and communication skills. Students will provide, in collaboration with their preceptor and inter-professional patient care team, athletic training services that uses evidence to their inform practice for varied patient populations.
