ED 236 - Exploring Student-Centered Pedagogy

This course offers an introduction to student-centered pedagogy within educational studies. Students will demonstrate an understanding of developmentally aligned, student-centered educational methods and inquiry-based approaches spanning from PreK to grade 12. Interdisciplinary teaching methods will be analyzed, including play-based learning, the Montessori Method, Project-Based Learning, and other inquiry-based approaches, to identify common principles and enhance curricular fluency. Equitable and culturally responsive criteria will be integrated, intended to apply to various educational and community settings.
