IA 551 - Interior Architecture Educational Practicum II SP
Building upon the foundational skills acquired in Practicum I, this course advances students’ pedagogical expertise through increased classroom engagement and leadership in instructional delivery. Students continue to work closely with a faculty mentor while assuming greater responsibility in assisting with coursework, facilitating discussions, and refining their teaching approach. Weekly seminars focus on advanced topics, including assessment strategies, curriculum development, student engagement techniques, and evolving trends in interior architecture education. Students will lead classroom activities, critique student work, and develop a comprehensive teaching portfolio that includes lesson plans, assessments, and reflections. By the end of the course, students will have gained substantial experience in interior architecture instruction, preparing them for potential academic or mentorship roles within the field.
