DRA 208 - Advanced Stage Combat

This course builds on the foundational techniques of stage combat. Students will advance their skills in advanced hand-to-hand and close-weapons combat. They will explore the nuances of eight different fight disciplines recognized by the Society of American Fight Directors. Emphasis will be placed on creating and executing complex fight choreography that enhances dramatic storytelling. Students will develop proficiency in communicating fight choreography through written and oral presentations and direct a combat scene.  Course may be repeated each semester for academic credit.
