CJ 311 - Mass Incarceration & Collateral Consequences AS NEEDED
This course examines the trends and origins of mass incarceration to explore how mass incarceration impacts those who are incarcerated, their families, and their communities. The course begins with a focus on the history and foundation of incarceration along with the policies and practices that led to mass incarceration. Following, the course explores the different collateral consequences of incarceration on social life, health, families, and communities. Satisfies Diversity, Equity and Inclusion General Education requirement.
