ABA 886 - Qualifying Examinations FA
The qualifying examination serves as a comprehensive assessment of a doctoral student’s proficiency in applied behavior analysis. It evaluates the student’s mastery of core coursework through an online exam assigned by the Qualifying Exam Committee. In addition, the qualifying exam assesses student’s ability to conduct an in-depth investigation of three specialized areas within the field of ABA. As part of the examination, the student must produce a professionally written paper on one selected topic. Upon successful completion of the written component, the student proceeds to an oral examination during which they present their research findings and respond to the committee questions covering all three areas of study.
