ED 380/380L - Methods in the Secondary Content Areas and Field Experience

This interdisciplinary course supports the pre-service teacher in planning for teaching at the secondary level (grades 5-8;8-12). The principles and elements articulated by the Massachusetts Professional Standards for Teachers and the Common Core Standards will be foundational in this course. A focus on professional responsibilities, planning, instruction, collaborative learning and assessment for the achievement and meaningful learning for all students will connect research and theory with applied practice through a pre-practicum experience component.

Must be registered for ED 303. Open to secondary education licensure majors only.
