ART 317 - History of Photography
SP
Surveys the history and development of photography worldwide from the 1830s to the present. Examines technical developments and implications, genres, and subjects such as documentary, portrait, and landscape. Themes, such as Modernism and Postmodernism and their effect on photographic praxis and perception, are also explored. Satisfies the Writing Designated core and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion General Education requirements.
