ART 106 - Drawing and Composition II

Building on the foundational skills introduced in Drawing and Composition I, this course elaborates, expands and challenges the topics addressed in the former course. Students continue to build their technical skills through traditional and nontraditional drawing processes. Assignments critically examine key concepts such as composition, value, and form in addition to new topics including alternative methods, color, metaphor, and mediated observation. Materials explored include charcoal, collage, color pastels, and ink.
