ART 105 - Drawing and Composition I

This course provides a comprehensive introduction to traditional representational drawing. Students learn to observe, analyze, and translate three dimensional subject matter into two-dimensional drawings using charcoal, pencil, and ink. Assignment focus is placed on formal principles including: composition, line, shape, value, proportion, volume, perspective, and space. Satisfies Aesthetic Awareness and Creative Expression General Education requirement.
