BUS 313 - Legal Environment for Cannabis Management

This course engages students in foundational studies of the cannabis industry, drawing upon perspectives from history, law, ethics, and business. Students will be guided through the history of medical cannabis legislation and the current status of applicable laws and regulations in the United States, specifically in Massachusetts. The cannabis industry faces numerous regulatory hurdles due to the inconsistency between state and federal laws. This class addresses these and related questions surrounding the emerging cannabis industry.
