IA 322 - Professional Practice This lecture - studio format course examines the professional practice of Interior Architecture. Students advance their knowledge in the business components, professional certification examination, and industry leading sustainability certification (LEED, WELL, BREAAM) necessary to engage the profession. The course carefully studies leadership, project management, financial management, professional ethics, client management, marketing and business development as well as strategies for integrated design. Two primary components of the course will focus on professional certification (NCIDQ) IDFX computerized exam and the USGBC LEED GA and WELL Exams. This lecture - studio course serves as the prerequisite for the fourth year senior internship experience in a professional design firm that solidifies concurrent learning between the classroom and the profession.
