MSAT 531 - Clinical Education II

Students will complete a 14 week (225 hour minimum) clinical experience under the direct supervision of an athletic trainer in Division I, II, or III collegiate sports. This rotation continues to foster the development and integration of each student in the areas of professional communication, injury prevention, clinical assessment, decision making, and rehabilitation with an emphasis on the upper extremity, head and spine. In addition, students will also be introduced to various general medical conditions, diagnostic testing, and postural assessment. Students will provide, in collaboration with their preceptor, athletic training services that uses evidence to inform their practice for varied patient populations.
