Student Affairs is an umbrella term to describe several offices that work closely with students and groups in the areas of residence life, student activities, counseling, community service, health, food service, and spiritual life.

We are committed to creating a safe, engaging purposeful learning environment that integrates curricular and co-curricular experiences. All of the departments are committed to creating fulfilling learning and social experiences which add to the learning environment of Endicott College. Endicott students come from diverse social, cultural, and economic backgrounds, creating a diverse experience for all students. our students come from across the United States and dozens of foreign countries. A celebration of these backgrounds allows students to truly experience a variety of cultures and traditions enriching their own personal experiences.

Endicott College provides two opportunities to assist newly admitted students and their families in the transition to higher education academics, campus life, and the Endicott community.  The Endicott experience begins with Summer Orientation where new students and their families participate in an intensive, overnight orientation program. The summer orientation is designed to assist students in building relationships critical to their success at Endicott College. Workshops and interactive sessions engage students and their families in academic and co-curricular activities, thus introducing new students to Endicott’s standards and expectations for academic progress and community involvement. Students are also introduced to their summer reading assignment which is designed to unite them in a shared intellectual discourse. Finally, orientation allows the College an opportunity to answer student and family questions and concerns before the academic year starts in order to ease the transition to Endicott.

Prior to the start of classes, Fall Orientation allows students to participate in numerous activities that will help them take active roles in their education and to get involved in their new community.  Fall Orientation assists students with the academic transition for life on campus. During Fall Orientation, students meet with faculty and staff, enhancing their understanding of their respective Schools and programs. Students will also have the opportunity to review their schedules and address any questions or concerns they might have before the first day of classes. Fall Orientation concludes with the participation in a traditional Convocation ceremony.

Academic and professional growth is only part of the development of students’ talents, interests, and abilities at Endicott. The Campus Activities Board (CAB) is an active student activities committee with a mission to provide social, cultural, and educational programming. CAB utilizes students’ abilities in the development and implementation of specific programs. Opportunities exist for students to become part of planning, implementing, and participating in major concerts, dances, movie programs, talent nights, bus trips, lectures, cultural events, and much more.

Endicott is committed to students and their views on matters concerning their educational and campus experiences.  Active participation in the Endicott College Student Government is strongly encouraged.  Here a student can develop his or her leadership skills while working with other students to enhance the Endicott experience.  Elected officers representing each class serve as the coordinating and central planning body for students.  Student Government deals with a variety of issues that are or may become concerns of students.  Students may establish a new club or organization on campus, depending on student interest, through the Student Government.

Endicott’s comprehensive leadership programs are designed to meet the needs and interests of undergraduate students at various levels in their development. Any student can be a leader in some way or another, so a variety of avenues for skills building are offered. These include Resident Assistants, REACH, LIGHThouse Leadership Society, and Student Government, along with many other opportunities.

The Endicott student identification card serves multiple purposes on campus. Not only does it provide access to residence halls and dining facilities, but also allows for a dollar value to be added to the card so that it becomes a cashless system for purchases on campus. Endicott’s dining facilities, bookstore, vending machines, laundry machines, copiers and printers are equipped to accept the Endicott Gull Card. The Gull Card is also accepted at various off-campus locations.

Dollar values can be added to the Gull Card at the Bursar’s Office with cash or check, or cash through value-ports in the Halle Library, the Center for Life Sceinces and Business, and the Post Center. Dollar values added with a credit card must be done online at endicott.edu/e-bill. The Gull Card Office is located in College Hall.

Clubs and organizations are varied on the Endicott Campus, dealing with a variety of interests expressed by students. They range from academically-based areas to social clubs and community service endeavors.

The Community Service Office offers students a wide variety of service opportunities, civic engagement, and community leadership. Students can volunteer for one-time service projects with groups such as the Special Olympics and Habitat for Humanity, or they may choose to become involved in on-going projects such as America Reads, food pantries, community meals, and youth programs. Through the federal work study program, students may choose to apply to work at one of several non-profit sites off campus. There is also an alternative spring break program that takes place in March, for which participants are chosen through an application process.

Family Medicine Associates (FMA) at Endicott College, Endicott’s new Health Center, is located on the first floor of the Callahan Center in Office 118.  Hours of operation are Monday and Friday 9:00am-5:00pm, Tuesday and Wednesday 10:00am-6:00pm and Thursday 11:00am-7:00pm.  FMA is a community-based family practice group with offices located in Hamilton and Manchester, Massachusetts.  FMA is affiliated with Lahey Health, which includes Beverly Hospital, Addison Gilbert Hospital and Lahey Health Outpatient Center at Danvers.  Endicott chose to partner with FMA to enhance the level of services available to you. As a student, you have full access to all medical services at the Health Center, including sick or accident visits, physical exams, allergy injections, flu shots as well as full lab services.  FMA provides medical care based on a team approach with each team under the direction of one doctor and consisting of NPs, PAs and nurses.

Endicott College recognizes that many students experience personal difficulties which can have a significant negative impact on their academic success. In order to help students cope with the personal challenges that face them, the Counseling Center provides individual and group counseling, implements programming on issues relevant to college-aged students, assists during crisis situations, and is a resource for referral to both on-campus and community support services. Confidential counseling is available to all currently enrolled Endicott students at no charge.

Endicott College recognizes the importance of spiritual development and moral awareness in the life of students and faculty. Chapel services and programs acknowledge and include the wide range of religious traditions represented on campus through student-led services, the Chaplain’s Advisory Group, Endicott Christian Fellowship, Hillel, and interfaith programs. The Chaplain is available during established office hours or by appointment for spiritual direction and counseling, or in a crisis or emergency. The Chapel is open daily from 7:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m.
