HMS 330 - Non-Profits for Social Change: Philanthropy in Action Students study the history, philosophy, and religious foundations of philanthropy in the United States; explore philanthropy as a vehicle of social change and reform; reflect on philanthropy as an expression of psychological and moral development; and gain first-hand experience of philanthropy by forming a model foundation that awards small grants to nonprofit organizations in the community.
