The Endicott Athletic Department holds memberships in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA, Division III), Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC), New England Football Conference (NEFC), Colonial Hockey Conference (CHC), New England Collegiate Conference (NECC), U.S. Rowing, Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA), and the Colonial Coast Rugby Conference (CCRC). The department sponsors intercollegiate varsity teams in the following sports: baseball, men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s cross country, equestrian, field hockey, football, men’s golf, men’s and women’s ice hockey, men’s and women’s lacrosse, men’s and women’s soccer, softball, men’s and women’s tennis, women’s track (coming Fall 2017), men’s and women’s volleyball, and club cheerleading, men’s and women’s crew, dance, and men’s and women’s rugby.
The department believes that in concert with academic pursuits, intercollegiate athletics challenge students to develop life skills. Just as Endicott’s curriculum is enhanced by the internship experience, athletics give students the opportunity to form and test healthy life-long values and habits. Backed by committed coaches and faculty, Endicott student athletes push themselves to realize their academic and physical potential. While winning is important, a truer measure of success is evaluating how each student athlete prepares for competition and the success, failure, and conflicts inherent in sport.
