ENG 240 - Boston in Literature and Film Examines portrayals of Boston in fiction, memoirs, poetry, and film. Students study how authors and filmmakers imagine, remember, and document the city, and use their work to comment on Boston’s history and culture, its social geography, its promise and shortcomings. Texts include classic and contemporary works, including examples of Boston noir fiction and film. Satisfies Literary Perspectives General Education and Writing Designated core requirements.
