Learning Outcomes


Upon completion of the hotel program, students will:

  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills associated with customer negotiation and active listening.
  • Communicate effectively in written form within the conventions of the discipline.
  • Demonstrate the critical inquiry and analysis skills needed to engage constructively in intellectual discourse within the discipline.
  • Demonstrate effective financial skills including operational hotel and restaurant ratio calculations, SWOT analyses, and management process and styles.
  • Develop the relevant technological skills used in the hotel industry.
  • Apply principles of asset management in terms of hotel ownership and real estate development. 
  • Analyze the elements of hotel revenue management in the context of optimizing the pricing model.
