Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of the hotel program, students will:
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills associated with customer negotiation and active listening.
- Communicate effectively in written form within the conventions of the discipline.
- Demonstrate the critical inquiry and analysis skills needed to engage constructively in intellectual discourse within the discipline.
- Demonstrate effective financial skills including operational hotel and restaurant ratio calculations, SWOT analyses, and management process and styles.
- Develop the relevant technological skills used in the hotel industry.
- Apply principles of asset management in terms of hotel ownership and real estate development.
- Analyze the elements of hotel revenue management in the context of optimizing the pricing model.
