Program Requirements

Students are required to take a minimum of 18 credits as follows:

Required Courses

Three semesters of MUS 106 Instruments and Voice (private lessons, one credit per semester) Note: May be repeated for up to 8 semesters for credit. Accumulation of three credits satisfies one Arts and Humanities Core Requirement; these courses require additional instructional fees.

MUS 111 - History of Western Music (Cr: 3)
MUS 160 - Performance Workshop (Cr: 3)
MUS 201 - Music Theory I (Cr: 3)

Three semesters participating in one or more of the following musical ensembles:

Note: May be repeated up to eight semesters for credit. Accumulation of three credits satisfies one Arts and Humanities Core Requirement.

MUS 105 - Endicott College Chorus (Cr: 1)
MUS 113 - Jazz Band (Cr: 1)
MUS 114 - Chamber Ensemble (Cr: 1)
