Art History Minor

Program Requirements

Students are required to take a minimum of 18 credits as follows: 

Required Courses

• ART 101 - Art in Society: Prehistory to 1400 (Cr: 3)
• ART 102 - Art in Society: 1400 to the Present (Cr: 3)
• ART 402 - Theories and Methods of Art History (Cr: 3)

Additional Courses

Students select  three from the following courses:

• ART 308 - Art in American Culture (Cr: 3)
• ART 315 - Women Artists in History (Cr: 3)
• ART 318 - Art in Modern and Postmodern Societies: 1900 to the Present (Cr: 3)
• ART 319 - Art of the Mediterranean Basin: Egypt, Greece, and Italy in Antiquity (Cr: 3)
• ART 320 - Native American Art: Beyond Tradition (Cr: 3)
