AUT 537 - Developing Individualized Goals for Learners with Autism Learners with autism have significant deficits in many areas. Effective programming requires comprehensive goal setting, clearly defined objectives, and ongoing assessment of progress. Several useful resources will be reviewed for their utility in assessing the individual and guiding goal development. These include the ABLLS-R and the VB-MAPP. In addition, the importance of functionality as a guide for curricular progression throughout the lifespan will be reviewed. The development of Community-relevant skills and independence will be included.
