Program Requirements
Students are required to take a minimum of 18 credits as follows: Required courses
Internship / Study Abroad Experience
This requirement can be met through a two-credit January internship experience (in which case students are encouraged to talk with the Humanities Chair regarding total credits earned for the International Studies minor), three-credit January study tour, or through a semester abroad. Students choosing to study abroad may meet some of the International Studies elective course requirements in their study abroad program. Students pursuing a International Studies minor should work closely with their advisors, the Chair of the program, and the School of International Education to meet the minor’s requirements. Students select two International Studies courses. Any course with an IST designation can be used to fulfill this requirement, or choose from the following courses: In addition, two semesters of a foreign language are highly recommended.
