IED 587 - Intercultural Communications

An exploration of the concepts of intercultural communication and their applications to the field of education. Emphasis is on using the teacher’s cross-cultural competencies to integrate children who are from other countries and/or whose first language is not English. Other topics will include initiating students to new educational systems, use of culturally appropriate curricular activities for their teaching disciplines.
