IED 504 - Theories in Curriculum Design

The aim of this course is to provide students with opportunities to make contact with a broad variety of curriculum theory, design, and successful practice. Our work will deal with matching specific theories of curriculum development to present practice as found both in the literature and such professional experiences available to our class. The final goal is to develop a curriculum project appropriate to your work settings or interest and grounded in a theoretical framework. Students will come away with a completed project that can be applied to their schoolwork or future graduate investigations. All work in this course will be based on successful practices in multicultural context.
