DAN 305 - Dance Teaching Methods


This course is designed for the student to implement dance teaching methods for ages three through eighteen in genres pertaining to creative movement, ballet, modern, jazz, social, and tap dance in a studio and/or school setting. The student will develop lesson plans using creativity while incorporating important standards of movement development, and somatic practices. Students will practice teaching by implementing their lesson plans on their peers. Satisfies the Aesthetic Awareness and Creative Expression General Education Requirement.
