5 Year Bachelor/Master in Education
The 5 Year programs in education were developed as an option for students graduating from an undergraduate teacher licensure program to complete a Master’s Degree in an accelerated format. The required coursework begin during the student’s first post-graduate summer term, with all requirements completed within a 12-month time period.
The following conditions apply for a student who completes one of the undergraduate teacher licensure programs at Endicott College:
• Waive the GRE/MAT Application Requirement
• Maintain a 3.0 GPA through their undergraduate course of study
5 Year Bachelor/Master in Education & Endicott Teaching Fellows Program
This year-long program provides students holding an initial license the opportunity to gain classroom experience and complete a master’s degree in a single year. Teaching Fellows start their master’s-level courses directly after completing their bachelor’s degree and continue to take courses throughout the school year. In September, they begin work in a partnering district and continue to work full-time during the year. Fellows who are completing an initial license complete their practicum hours in the role of the license they are pursuing through their master’s degree. Fellows receive continuous guidance and support from veteran teachers, Endicott supervisors, and education advisors. In exchange for one academic year of teaching, the district agrees to pay the equivalent of full graduate program tuition for their Teaching Fellow. Housing and other living expenses are the responsibility of the student.
