The Master in Education with Montessori Focus is available to students who are accepted into the Northeast Montessori Institute for Montessori certification in Early Childhood Education and who wish to simultaneously complete a master of education program.

Northeast Montessori Institute (NMI) trains adults to be Montessori teachers in Early Childhood Education.  NMI is affiliated with the American Montessori Society, and is accredited by the Montessori Accreditation Council for Teacher Education.  Students participating in this dual-credential program will receive a Montessori certificate from the American Montessori Society as well a Master of Education from Endicott College.

Students enrolled in this program develop a philosophical and practical foundation in Montessori practice. Montessori educational theory and practice is integrated through supervised teaching/learning experiences.  The master study includes clinical studies, periods of observation and internalization in an 18-month program that is conducted through both on- and off-site coursework.
Note: The Master of Education with Montessori Focus in Early Childhood is not linked to Massachusetts state teacher licensure.
