Organizational Management - Concentration in Hospitality Training

This program of study is offered in collaboration with the Glion Institute of Higher Education in Bulle, Switzerland.  The program emphasizes individual and team based teaching and learning; the development of teaching and management competencies critical to organizational objectives; the methods of institutionalizing and maximizing learning; and forms of instructional leadership applicable to a variety of enterprises. Students are prepared for careers in training, education delivery, and management within the field of hotel, restaurant, and other affiliated service industries.

After completion of the program, students are expected  to:

  • recognize opportunities for growth, training, skill development and enhanced performance on individual, group, and organizational levels;
  • act as teachers, trainers, and leaders in educational and professional environments;
  • understand and utilize different methods for the transfer of skills and knowledge;
  • make learning a defining characteristic of organizational culture.
