The School of Hospitality Management is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Programs in Hospitality Administration (ACPHA), which ensures that the school meets or exceeds standards of educational excellence.

The World Travel and Tourism Council has projected that hospitality and tourism will continue to grow at an annual rate of 3.9% until 2027. Demand for qualified professionals will continue to increase, providing many career opportunities for our graduates. The School of Hospitality Management prepares students for leadership roles and career opportunities in hotels, resorts, food service, clubs, cruise lines, casinos, senior communities, property management, nonprofits, corporate and special events.

The school offers two degrees: Hotel Management and Hospitality Management. In addition to hospitality business courses, students gain a depth and breadth of knowledge that comes from academic inquiry in a comprehensive liberal arts environment. All faculty members of the school have industry experience and serve as advisors to guide, mentor, and support each student.  La Chanterelle, the non-traditional classroom, provides a hands-on learning experience in both the culinary and service aspects of operating a fine dining restaurant. The school’s collaboration with the Wylie Inn and Conference Center provides field study opportunities to develop operational expertise. Students will develop the knowledge and experience to become leaders in the hospitality industry.

The School recognizes the global nature of hospitality and encourages students to study or intern abroad. The majority of hospitality students participate in an international experience.  International hospitality partners include American College of Greece in Athens, Apicius International School of Hospitality at Florence University of the Arts in Italy, Cork Institute of Technology in Ireland, Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management in the United Arab Emirates, the International College of Management in Australia and Les Roches Hotel Management School in Switzerland.  Endicott students may earn diplomas from Les Rochesor Cork Institute of Technology, which combines the best of American management techniques and the European reputation for hospitality education. These two credentials give students a competitive advantage in the work force.

To enhance their college experience, students are able to apply their coursework through many clubs and networking opportunities available on campus. Two student organizations unique to the School of Hospitality Management promote interaction with industry professionals: Endicott Events Management Organization (EEMO) and a student chapter of the American Hotel and Lodging Association (AHLA). In addition, students who qualify may be inducted into Eta Sigma Delta (ESD), an international hospitality honor society governed by the International Council of Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Educators (ICHRIE). The society recognizes junior and senior hospitality students for outstanding academic achievement, service, and professionalism.

Hands-on experience is essential for success, Endicott’s internship requirements make students career-ready. The 120-hour internships in the freshman and sophomore years introduce students to  their potential careers. The semester-long internship is an academic and experiential immersion in the hospitality industry, providing opportunities for future employment.
