Bachelor of Fine Arts

The four-year Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) program consists of a major in Fine Art with concentrations in Creative Arts Therapy and Studio Art, and a major in Visual Communications with concentrations in Graphic Design and Photography. All B.F.A. students engage in a multi-year curriculum that fosters creative and critical thinking in combination with technical skills, history, and theory. Traditional studio courses in Painting, Photography, and Computer Graphics are required along with a four-course sequence in art history and theory. Discipline-specific courses are taken every semester. Studies culminate in the fourth year when students undertake a two-course Senior Thesis. This is the capstone of the Endicott experience, providing graduates with a significant portfolio and research project. The General Education Core Requirements are seen as an important part of the student’s education and are fully integrated into the BFA programs. Endicott College firmly believes the greater the educational diversity, the more prepared the student will be for meeting the challenges of a professional practice. Students are responsible for the cost of art supplies and tools, and a camera and computer.
